Daycare Expansion

This funding request addresses our need to expand our daycare program.  Since the inception of our program in 2017, the program has grown beyond the capacity of our current building.  We have a long waiting list of eligible participants, but we don’t have the capacity to serve these deserving children and families.

With the assistance of a grant made available from the State of Iowa, we have secured funds to expand this program.  This includes an addition to our current space.  At the time of the funding request, the cost of building materials was much less than in the current construction climate.  Our final bid exceeds the funds we have available by $238,000.  We have managed to scale back the project but are still approximately $150,000 deficient in funds.
