The St. Louis Children's Choirs

A nonprofit organization

For 46 years, The St. Louis Children's Choirs (SLCC) have transformed young lives through musical excellence, character building, and world-class performance. We create an environment for young people to gather regardless of social or economic background and rehearse and perform choral works by master composers, make lifelong friends, and develop as young professionals. SLCC is the official children's choir of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Other partners include the U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Bach Society, Ambassadors of Harmony, and the Des Lee Fine Arts Collaborative. SLCC has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the White House, and in 14 countries around the world. This season (2023-2024), SLCC enrolls 350 students ages 6 to 18 from over 100 different schools and 55 zip codes in MO and IL to sing in six ensembles.

The 2023-2024 season marks SLCC's 46th anniversary and Dr. Alyson Moore's inaugural season as Artistic Director. Dr. Moore's dynamic vision for the Choirs has produced thrilling new collaborations with SLSO and nationally-acclaimed singer and composer Cody Fry, Dances of India, and Airlifter Brass from the U.S. Air Force Band, and new performance opportunities for our young artists at the National Council of Well-Being's NATCON with keynote speaker Michelle Obama, the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new SSM Cardinal Glennon Hospital facility, World Pediatric Project's annual gala, and the National Anthem at the start line of the Greater St. Louis Marathon.
