Persad Center

Persad Center works to improve the well-being of the LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS-affected communities in western Pennsylvania. We serve our community and their loved ones from cradle to grave with a variety of programming to meet their needs, including outpatient and intensive outpatient mental health treatment, couples and group therapy, SAGE events and programs for LGBT seniors, foster care for LGBTQ+ youth, substance abuse treatment, training for local businesses, schools, and non-profits to learn how to better engage their LGBTQ+ clients, customers, and employees, and more. 

Up to $1,500 of donations on Give OUT Day will be matched by our generous Board of Directors, but any amount given will make a real difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ people.

• Morgana is a local queer teen. Your donation can help make sure her school receives suicide prevention training. 
• Jakob struggles with intense isolation and loneliness during the holidays but doesn't have a lot of money. Your donation can cover the cost of his co-pay.
• Vivienne needs a place to connect with other LGBTQ+ seniors. Your donation can fund a semester of Coffee & Conversation meet-ups for seniors.
• Geeno is a struggling genderqueer 14 year old. Your donation can fund the home study that makes it possible for supportive foster parents to give Geeno a home.
