Mental Health America of Los Angeles

This year marks MHALA’s 100th anniversary. For the past century, we’ve been at the forefront of mental health care, but our impact has never been more evident than in recent years. We’ve grown into one of California’s premier mental health organizations, serving twice the number of people today as we did prior to the pandemic, securing housing for 2,258 people last year, and assisting 85% of participating members to achieve community employment.  

While we celebrate every victory, there’s still so much more work to be done. And it takes your help to make every single one of these life-changing moments happen.

Every dollar donated to MHALA during Long Beach Gives will directly support those we serve. At a time when so many adults and youth are dealing with mental health challenges, food insecurity, housing and economic stressors, MHALA is bringing its broad range of integrated, comprehensive services – that include housing, employment, mental and physical health care – to our community. We’re excited to share that the money raised will also go toward opening our new Veterans Center in Long Beach!
