For more than 25 years, FOCUS has educated leaders, connected them to each other across sectors, and facilitated important conversations our region requires to move forward. 

In today's world, social and community issues are more interconnected than ever before, and the challenges we face are increasingly complex. These complex challenges require all leaders to flex across a variety of sectors and leadership styles, and create unique solutions in partnership with others.

At FOCUS St. Louis, we believe everyone possesses the power to be a leader. We also believe leaders have a responsibility to help create change - through policy and systems change, by listening to and amplifying the voices of diverse leaders, by standing up and speaking out as allies. 

We Educate Leaders
Our continuum of five civic leadership programs are designed to meet participants where they are, from high school students to senior executives. 

We Connect Leaders
We build participants’ networks and their capacity to become engaged in their own communities and workplaces. Our impact goes far beyond each individual, reaching wherever our participants go on to make change across the region.

We Facilitate Important Conversations
As a neutral convener and facilitator, FOCUS brings together community members to deliberate on critical regional issues in a trusted, nonpartisan space. On our own and in partnership with numerous organizations, FOCUS hosts a variety of policy forums, community discussions and educational events throughout the year
