Zumas Rescue Ranch Inc

Our organization is named in honor of the first horse our founders, The Messenich Family, purchased together nearly 20 years ago. Zuma was a bright spirit – a truly once in a lifetime horse who forever changed the hearts and minds of some very experienced professional horsepeople. By partnering those in need so that they may in turn rescue each other, we honor Zuma’s legacy.

Serving the community since 2008, the mission of Zuma’s Rescue Ranch is to foster an environment of healing for both humans and animals in the Denver Metro area.

Zuma's Rescue Ranch provides rescue and rehabilitation services to equine and farm animals, including transportation, health care, training, and placement into adoptive homes, as well as lifelong sanctuary to those animals who are unsuitable for adoptive homes. Zuma's Rescue Ranch also provides equine assisted learning programs to persons with special needs, disabilities, mental health conditions, and at-risk behaviors, either privately or through third-party Corporations recognized as health care providers.

Additionally, Zuma's Rescue Ranch provides horsemanship and riding classes, hosts educational and entertaining events, and more in support of the community.
