Wood River Resource Area Association Inc

Established in 1973 the Wood River RC&D focuses on community development, land management, land conservation and water management. RC&D councils are comprised of local leaders to achieve community goals. We work with Blaine, Camas, Lincoln and Goodng counties.  Our partnering with USDA agencies include agricultural marketing service, agricultural research service, economic research service food and nutrition service, forest service and rural development.  In addition we work with food and agriculture services.  "Helping people help the land". One of our projects this year is South Central Idaho's Precipitation Enhancement Strategy "SCIPES" to enhance our snow pack in a safe, scientific, time-tested and proven set of technologies.  Benefits are measured in additional water for cities, agriculture, recreation, enegy use and providing additional precipitation for South Central Idaho's waterways.
