The USABSA is the only organization in the United States whos mission is specifically to help identify, recruit, develop, train, clothe, equip, transport and help fund US Paralympic athletes and Veterans that wish to learn, train, compete and represent the USA in the Paralympic Sport of Bobsled & Skeleton.

Financial support helps to defray the cost of ice time, track registration fees, World Cup Entry Fees, pilot licensing fees to the IBSF (International Bobsled & Skeleton Federation) , driving schools and the cost of hotel, airfare, fuel and athlete and sled transport to and from World Cup events.

Recently, funds from last years LPCGPC event helped to defray the cost of travel for Paraplegic athletes who recently traveled from Park City to Whistler,BC Canada to participate in their first driving school and opportunity to learn, participate and experience the sport. Round trip Fuel, sled transport and lodging and food costs were minimized for each athlete thanks to LPCGPC last years donations.

*** However, this year is a significantly different situation where our Primary focus and need is to obtain a World Cup Competition Practice monobob sled to which the USA currently has NONE.  Yet, our athletes are expected to podium without a sled.  This need is now crucial to our athletes here in the USA in order to be competitive, win and obtain further sponsor recognition and support.

All other nations competing and currently represented in the New Sport of Para Bobsled & Skeleton already own multiple Para-mono bob sleds, but the USA and our athletes currently have none.   These "monobobs" are specifically designed to accomodate disabled athletes that are Paraplegic, Quadriplegic or Amputee with special adaptations to assist them for increase safety and cost between $30-35,000 each.

Since the sport has only recently been recognized as an official "Provisionally Accepted Winter Paralympic Sport by the IOC and IPC, neither the USOC or the US Bobsled Federation charter currently offers any financial support for our athletes or Equipment leaving each athlete and our organization the ONLY 501c-3 not for profit

organization available to help them with grants, scholarships and other support.

Any donations to help our disabled athletes and veterans would be greatly appreciated. To learn more about the USABSA and upcoming competition and

World Cups, readers may view our website at www.usabsa.org.

Providing the means, opportunities and ability for a disabled athlete to experience the thrills and exhilirating sport of Bobsled and Skeleton can help change that and provide for a better quality of life as well as  increased personal self esteem.

Thank you for your interest and financial consideration of our organization to fulfill your philanthropic needs. There are many disabled athletes here in UTAH and thru out the USA including our wounded warriors that would very much appreciate your giving and support!  AND, above all, thank you for helping to improve our disabled athletes quality of life and re-ignite the human and competitive spirit within all of us !   Please donate today.
