Picture a gorgeous clear, cold, and clean stream running through the hills around Puget Sound. Now think about how welcome that sight and sound are when you've had a crazy day at work. As you step closer you notice that not only is the stream sparkling in the sunshine, but there are fish in that stream - maybe a gorgeous trout, or a salmon returning to spawn, or a "little red fish" the kokanee. With over two million people living in the Puget Sound area, nature can sometimes be hard to see. But the Three Rivers Chapter of Trout Unlimited is focused on coldwater conservation and the watersheds surrounding coldwater streams, rivers, and lakes.. We protect those beautiful streams, rivers, and lakes that can provide serenity, healing, solace, and friendship to so many people. Our group is made of up people who want to protect and give back so that future generations can enjoy and recreate in the same wonderful outdoor spaces we are in today.
We are passionate about the environment and helping everyone establish their own personal relationship with Mother Nature because we know the environment needs as many advocates as we can supply.
Our members volunteer for over 1000 hours on projects like:
Our conservation efforts were recognized by King County, who presented the chapter with the Green Globe Award for being the Leader in Salmon Recovery. We were thrilled and gratified to receive this award.
