We provide direct assistance to families and individuals, and help them take steps to break out of the cycle of poverty.

Read Emily's story:  

"I was frustrated".  That was Emily's first response when she attended Catholic Charities financial literacy classes after receiving assistance from us.  The classes are offered free to our clients as a way to enable them to move toward increased economic stability.  Emily is just one of the many who participated in our course this year.  A single mother, with a teenage by, Emily remembers, "I was in a shelter where you couldn't cook your own meal and spent lots of money buying food outside.  I didn't receive enough money and couldn't pay all my bills.  If I paid the rent, I couldn't pay the electric bill or vice-versa.  Now I learned from this program the importance to able to manage my finances.  I can sleep better now and work on my budget for the next month.  I'm very happy."
