Swedish Covenant Hospital has served the residents of Chicago’s north and northwest side communities for more than 125 years. We’re proud of our close ties with our vibrant community, and we strive to meet the diverse health care needs of those who live in our neighborhood. Our approach to health care blends wellness prevention and leading-edge technology with our long-standing tradition of nurturing the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of our community.

Located on Foster Avenue and California Avenue, Swedish Covenant Hospital serves a community that is among the most culturally and socioeconomically diverse in the nation. Many of our neighborhoods are a port of entry for immigrants and refugees from more than 60 nations, and more than 35 percent of Chicago’s foreign-born residents reside in our service area.

While billed charges cover most operating expenses, they do not allow for innovative programs and services, or care for the uninsured. As a non-profit hospital, Swedish Covenant Hospital depends on donations from friends to fund these initiatives that enhance the mission of the hospital.
