STEP, Inc. is a dynamic 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to breaking down barriers to economic, educational, and personal success within the communities we serve.

Our programs are all about working hand-in-hand with individuals and families to help them overcome challenges and improve their quality of life through community support, economic empowerment, and personal growth.

Currently, we proudly serve over 3,500 individuals across Rocky Mount, Virginia, and the surrounding areas.

Our Vision: Through our work, STEP enhances the quality of life and fosters new opportunities for individuals and families, ensuring they have access to a full range of services and resources that help them reach their goals.

STEP, Inc. provides Housing Services, Senior Services, Youth Services, Tax Preparation Service, and Early Childhood Education Programs.

New for 2025 we have expanded our programs to include a diaper bank, senior pet food program, and a work appropriate clothing closet.
