Smile Out Loud Foundation

David Staenberg is Founder and Executive Director of the Smile Out Loud Foundation. Known as the “Free Smile Guy.”, David is a diagnosed dyslexic who has overcome his disability to earn multiple college degrees and become a published author.

Growing up with a learning disability and having people label him as “stupid” or “dumb,” David is fully aware of the limitations of living with this learning disability and what it takes to overcome it. He’s made it his life mission to increase awareness and funding for children with learning disabilities.

The Smile Out Loud Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding for children with learning disabilities in order to provide a brighter educational future through the power of a SMILE:

Story - Because of David’s deep personal experience, he understands the challenges faced by those living with a learning disability.

Message - We are focused on sharing a positive message to raise funds that will lead to an increased awareness of learning disabilities.

Impact - Our volunteers strive for maximum impact through follow-up and assistance to children who pursue higher education.

Listen - We rely on the board to provide ideas and strategies to increase available scholarships.

Engage - Students will be encouraged to live from their strengths and embrace their God-given design.
