The World Seido Karate Organization actively supports community efforts through its nonprofit branch, the Seido Juku Benefit Foundation, a 501(c) nonprofit organization. Founded in 1987, the Seido Juku Benefit Foundation strives to share the mental, physical, and spiritual benefits of karate with challenged or disadvantaged populations and also regularly raises funds on behalf of community programs throughout New York City.

The Seido Juku Benefit Foundation provides financial support and instruction for students who would otherwise not be able to train in karate. This includes the visually impaired, hearing impaired, homeless children, and adults with special needs. In addition, the Foundation provides financial support for local community programs, including those benefiting children with HIV/AIDS, victims of breast cancer, at-risk teenagers, and the homeless.

Over the past 20 years, the Seido Juku Benefit Foundation and the World Seido Karate Organization have donated more than $300,000 to a variety of nonprofit organizations, including the American Red Cross, Coalition High School, Domestic Abuse Services, Inc., Hale House, Hospitality House and Project Hospitality, and the New York City Fire and Police Departments.

Students actively support Seido's credo of inclusion by donating their time to community events such as food and clothing drives, benefit tournaments, and volunteering to assist in Seido's special programs.

See Seido.com for more information on the important work that the Seido Juku Benefit Foundation does every day.
