$30,000 Goal

Join us in saving lives today! Your donation for Give Miami Day will help save lives of animals that would otherwise parish through no fault of their own. Fey, the emaciated Paso Fino Mare, Ranger and Journey the half starved, found abandoned Standardbreds, Comet the abandoned miniature horse, dumped Bo Sheep and many others like them, are counting on us!

For 32 years, The South Florida SPCA has saved the horses, farm animals and other non-dog, non-cat animals of Miami-Dade who are dumped in the Everglades, abandoned in farm fields, abused and nearly starved to death. We are more than an organization; we are a community of caring individuals united by a passion for helping animals in need.

Your support enables us to continue our vital work and expand our reach. Together, we can rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome more animals, giving them the second chance they deserve.

The challenges we face are immense. Each rescue mission requires significant resources—from transportation and medical care to feed and shelter. The costs of veterinary care, food, and daily maintenance are substantial, and as a nonprofit organization, we rely heavily on the generosity of supporters like you. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us provide the best care for the animals who depend on us.

South Florida SPCA partners with Miami Dade County Department of Animal Services and the Miami-Dade Agricultural Police to respond 24-7 to calls to rescue horses, donkeys, cows, goats, pigs, fowl, and all manner of other animals, like camels and Llama's, from the plight they find themselves in through no fault of their own.

In 2023 we rescued 26 horses, 6 cows, 18 goats, 5 pig, 4 sheep, 1 donkeys and 19 turtles, and rehomed 15 horses, 22 goats, 2 donkey, 1 pig, 4 sheep, 7 cows and 19 turtles. We were able to reunite 5 horses, 4 cows, 2 pigs to their rightful owners.

So far in 2024 we have rescued 18 horses, 9 cows, 1 donkeys, 4 sheep, 3 pigs, 5 bunnies, 14 pigeons, 26 quail, 2 chickens, 11 Guinea Fowl,  and we have rehomed 16 horses, 2 cows, 3 sheep, 14 pigeons, 26 quail, 2 chickens, and 1 pig. We have been able reunited 6 horses, 8 cows, and 1 donkey to their rightful owners.

Rescue, rehabilitate, rehome, repeat!
