The Royal Christian Institute is the brainchild and a product of the creative and humanitarian efforts of Ms. Rose T. Songor, a Liberian-American living in Indianapolis, Indiana (USA). More about her here: www.royalchristianinstitute.net

IN INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA: RCI supports our youth (in collaboration with local churches and other entities) -- to help them remain focused on developmental and progressive activities when they are out of school.

Currently, RCI's most urgent need (in Indianapolis) – is to expand feeding program(s) and to establish a daycare center for children. In order to underwrite overall operational costs -- we need to generate funds.

Ms. SONGOR VISITED WAR-TORN LIBERIA IN 2010 – and saw first-hand the desperate need for educating the children of Monrovia. The three civil wars in Sierra Leone and Liberia left a legacy of poverty and social upheaval, especially for young citizens whose development was interrupted by conflict.

With her own money she bought a piece of land – on which she intends to build "The Royal Christian Institute." She has already initiated the construction of a kindergarten through 12th grade school (The architectural design is ready) — in the much challenged Trye community of Bardnersville, Monrovia.

Ms. Songor or "Tewa" as she is fondly referred to by those close to her — is a generous human being — who loves children and spends hours and hours on volunteer work helping them.
