Roman Catholic Diocese of San Jose

We are the Diocese of San Jose, the Catholic Church in Santa Clara County. We are a community of 590,000 Catholics, encompassing 53 parishes and missions, 29 elementary schools and 6 high schools, and 3 college and university campus ministries. We serve the people of this valley in collaboration and conjunction with scores of Catholic organizations—high schools, universities, hospitals and social service agencies and other ministries—dedicated to carrying out Christ’s mission on earth.

This year, the Diocese will further its commitment to transform Catholic education by raising funds for the seven Drexel Schools: Catholic Academy, Holy Spirit, Most Holy Trinity, Resurrection, St. Clare, St. Patrick, and St. Joseph Mountain View.

Funds raised through SV Gives will be used to maintain and upgrade the technology used in each Drexel classroom. The educational focus of Drexel is blended learning, which uses tools and practices to maximize the use of technology and advanced content to make the students' learning experience more flexible, personalized and lasting. Drexel Schools use the station rotation model of blended learning, a combination of teacher-led and individualized instruction using digital content on an iPad.

How Your Gift Can Help

• $10 will provide an additional charging cable for one student or class
• $25 will provide one iPad cover for an existing student
• $50 will provide approx. 20 application licenses for students
• $100 will provide one additional Apple TV for a new classroom
• $700 will provide an additional iPad for a Drexel student
• $1000 will provide an application site license for specific programs
• $2000 will provide one additional laptop to a new teacher (MacBook Pro, 15" retina display)
• $2000 will provide one interactive projector for a new classroom
