Rise for Autism

The Members of RISE for Autism share a passion for helping others.  Our mission statement clearly defines our motives and goals for developing this non-profit foundation.  We hope to expand our services and resources as we gain notoriety in Anne Arundel County and surrounding areas in Maryland.

RISE for Autism seeks to strengthen the community's knowledge and understanding of Autism Spectrum and Related Disorders. We plan to provide community training in various areas of interest, regarding Autism related topics. We believe that inspiring understanding in the community will create a more welcoming environment for individuals with Autism and their families.

In addition to community awareness, we seek to provide families with the tools they need to support their family member with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our goal is to make families fell confident in their understanding of ASD, feel informed about the vast amount of therapies available and feel supported in the family's journey.

With the country being in ongoing financial turmoil, many families find it difficult to afford the various therapies involved in supporting an individual with ASD. RISE for Autism seeks to relieve the heavy financial burden these various therapies may impose.

"I honestly do not know where to begin, as I try to convey my deepest gratitude for what Rise for Autism has done for my son and my family.  As a military family of five, trying to meet our needs on one salary was proving to be impossible.  From the first day that we contacted Rise for Autism requesting assistance, their kind, compassionate, and generous heart was evident.  They were always available to speak with me when I had a question or concern.

My son, (diagnosed with ASD), has been able to receive the vital services that he needs, due to the funds that Rise for Autism/it's contributors have arranged and provided -- a grant to cover biomedical appointments and supplements.  After a few appointments and starting him on supplements, we have seen positive, progressive changes in my son.  We are so excited to see what the next few months/years will bring for him -- and all of this is possible because of your gift.  It is a devastating feeling to know that we cannot afford to provide the necessary treatments and services for our child.  Rise for Autism truly understands the needs of families experiencing the ASD journey, and it genuinely cares for each family that it assists.

I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done for our family.  You will never know how grateful we are, but I hope that this letter ends is read by many others.  Not only so that you can be recognized, but so that others know how important and amazing your work is -- and how it offers hope to each family...each child with special needs."

An important part of our organization's mission is to offer a comprehensive, lifelong continuum of support, resources, and knowledge to individuals with ASD. We plan to host trainings, classes, and social events that promote confident, competent individuals with ASD.
