What is Richland Veteran Mentor Program?

Richland Veteran Mentor Program (RVMP), a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, was formed by a small group of Veterans who volunteered their time as peer mentors in the Veterans Court of the Mansfield Municipal Court. Our local Veterans Court was the first one established in Ohio, and the third such Veterans Court in the nation. We are proud to have been pioneers in this process. Today there are more than 300 such courts throughout the country. 

Through our years of service together as peer mentors, we began to realize opportunities to improve the lives of our fellow Veterans that could not be met within the confines of the court system. We believe that combining the work we are doing through RVMP, and the work we will continue to do as mentors in the court system, will greatly enrich the lives of Richland County Veterans and their families.
