Richland Community Development Group

The Richland Community Development Group (RCDG) is committed to transforming Richland County through economic development, workforce readiness, and community enhancement. By working closely with local businesses, government bodies, and educational institutions, RCDG leads projects that make Richland County a thriving place to live, work, and grow. Through initiatives in site development, business retention, and workforce upskilling, RCDG supports sustainable progress, from expanding broadband access to revitalizing downtown spaces and creating job opportunities.

RCDG has collaborated with TeamNEO, JobsOhio, and local leaders in the past year to activate key commercial sites, attract investment, and support local companies with expansion plans. The Build Richland initiative introduced a survey to improve regulatory feedback, while digital skills programs, funded by a Microsoft TechSpark grant, empowered students and teachers to bridge the skills gap. Our partnership with the Land Bank facilitated redevelopment, while BrandRichland’s cohesive messaging strengthened county identity and community pride.

RCDG’s volunteer-led sectors focus on community needs, including arts and culture, streetscape beautification, higher education exposure, downtown development, holiday lighting, retail, and talent development.
