Who We Are
The Pearl Foundation of the Puget Sound is a 501 (c) (3) a public charitable foundation and is an outgrowth of youth programs developed and managed by Delta Pi (Graduate) Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated.
Our Role
We expose young men and women in the Puget Sound to inspiring adult role models who share similar life experiences and understand their plight. Our mentors not only show them that somebody cares about them, but more importantly, we set expectations for transforming the individuals into effective community members and leaders. Studies show that children matched in center-based mentoring programs are more likely to develop positive attitudes towards school, achieve higher grades and improve their social skills and interactions with peers and adults.
Believing that children need opportunities through which they can learn and grow, we strive to connect individuals to other community programs that cultivate their interest in higher learning and introduce them to the infinite possibilities of career choices available in their future. Our goal is to help youth overcome their limitations and break the barrier of life challenges. We've served our community since 1998, and assist youth not only through mentorship but with scholarships, holiday giveaways, and equitable golf events. The Pearl Foundation supports local organizations that share the same dedication and drive to help youth that we have.
Our Mission
Our mission is to foster self-confidence, leadership, and positive decision-making skills to an underserved population of young men and women. We provide financial assistance through our scholarship program and connect kids with industry to develop and nurture their professional interests.
Our Vision
Our vision is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for at-risk youth to foster strength and resilience, so that they may reach their full potential and become productive members of their communities.
