Partners HealthCare was founded in 1994 by Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. The system includes primary care and specialty physicians, community hospitals, the two founding academic medical centers, specialty facilities, community health centers, and other health-related entities. Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) is a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. BWH provides comprehensive women's health services, including the largest obstetrical program in Massachusetts. BWH has consistently been named one of the country's best hospitals by U.S. News and World Report. Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) offers sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic care in virtually every specialty and subspecialty of medicine and surgery. MGH has been consistently named one of the country's best hospitals by U.S. News and World Report.
