Mission

*To promote medical research to cure spinal cord injury and dysfunction and related problems.*To advocate and monitor the access and delivery of quality and appropriate health care services. *Assist in identifying and securing benefits for spinal cord injured and diseased veterans and others, as appropriate.*To educate society on the attitudinal, physical and legal barriers which confront persons with disabilities and to influence the removal of those barriers.*To provide information and opportunities while promoting the direct and indirect benefits of incorporating and maintaining health, recreation, employment, services and camaraderie for spinal cord injured and diseased veterans and others, as appropriate.*To work in conjunction with other community civic groups, agencies and individuals who share our objectives.

Programs

*Annually donate $35,000 to SCI research laboratories at Yale University and SCRF (spinal cord research foundation).*NEPVA is respected and has an excellent working relationship with New England's members of the Senate and Congress. *Visit local elementary schools educating children about what it's like being disabled. A very important program which dispells myths associated of individuals with disabilites.
