The mission of the Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce is to be the driving force for creating a strong economy while also promoting inclusivity, embracing diversity and celebrating originality. Our vision is for Over-the-Rhine to be a model neighborhood for inclusive urban revitalization.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, OTR’s small businesses have had to navigate and adapt to new challenges on a daily basis. Nationally, small businesses generate 44% of the US economy and OTR is no exception. We have 300 brick and mortar businesses; almost 40% are women-owned and over 20% are minority-owned. We are committed to continuing to increase the % of minority-owned businesses, to create the most diverse business district in our region. 

The OTR Chamber stepped up to be a 24/7 resource to all, providing critical connections and programs including the #OTRisOpen Campaign, our Small Business Relief Fund granting almost $400,000 to small businesses in need, and creating Second Sunday OTR, an inclusive socially-distant, masks-on, monthly sidewalk festival. As the holiday shopping season is especially critical to small business survival, the OTR Chamber has created a shop small holiday campaign, including creating unique safe in-person experiences and an #OTRisOnline digital campaign.
