About ODC/Dance

ODC is dedicated to the lifecycle of the artistic process. Founded by Artistic Director Brenda Way in 1971 as a 16-person artist collective, it has since evolved into a groundbreaking contemporary arts institution based in San Francisco: a world-class dance company, a multigenerational dance school, a fee-free diagnostic clinic and a presenting theater housed in the nation’s first dance campus of its kind. Through our collective efforts we aim to inspire audiences, cultivate artists, engage community, and foster diversity and inclusion through
dance. ODC proudly serves 72,000 people annually.
