North Texas Boxer Rescue

NTBR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2016 that provides a temporary sanctuary for boxers in need across North Texas. It is run by a dedicated group of volunteers who are passionate about rescuing boxers that are abandoned, neglected, sick or injured and finding them great homes. NTBR takes in a wide range of boxers in need, but prioritizes the most vulnerable dogs, including those who are ill, injured, old or housed at shelters where the risk of euthanasia is highest. In order to do this, NTBR has developed relationships with shelters across Texas and has established a wide network of foster homes and volunteers. At a minimum, each NTBR boxer receives veterinary care, spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations and a microchip. Many of the boxers require significantly more medical care, including testing, surgeries, heartworm treatment, and other long-term treatment. Professional dog training is also offered for the most difficult cases. The ultimate goal of NTBR is to place each boxer into a carefully screened forever home where they will be well-cared for and thoroughly loved by their new adopted family.

NTBR volunteers are amazing and do everything from transporting dogs, temporary and full-time fostering, reviewing adoption applications, coordinating home visits and/or meet and greets, event-planning and much more. Each volunteer contributes as much or as little as their schedule permits. Most importantly, volunteering is paid in full by boxer wiggles, beans, kisses and cuddles!

Our Needs

Your donation will be used to help fund ongoing medical care for the boxers in our care. 100% of every donation goes directly to our medical expenses which currently average between $6,000- $10,000/month. This amount is expected to double over the next year as our rescue continues to grow.
On average, the medical bills for NTBR's rescued boxers is 2-3 times more than their adoption fee and does not take training or much needed supplies into account. Therefore, donations are critical to the organization's ability to continue to take in and rehabilitate boxers in need.
