New Mission Systems International uses integrated and holistic methods of outreach. We recognize that the means of reaching the people of the earth must be ever fresh and appropriate to the context. We are involved in a wide variety of humanitarian and educational projects as well as direct Church planting. Our goal is to support and place people in fields of service. We widely network, believing that unity is one key to success.
Church Planting and Maturing: We do this through preparing and placing Christians in the fields of service, hand picking and supporting nationals that have a vision for expanding God's kingdom on Earth. We hold them spiritually and financially accountable, provide spiritual and strategic counseling, assist missionaries and affiliates in their fundraising and supporter relations, help them pursue their calling in God, provide education, discipleship and leadership development. Christian Leadership Development: Go! Global - an on-going short-term missions program for high-school and college students, designed to help young people deepen their relationship with God, learn about missions, see God's plan for all nations to be saved. The program works closely with the national churches in the field, assisting them in evangelism, children and youth programs, literature distribution, construction. Missionary In Training Program called COAT (Community, Orientation, Assessment, & Training) - a new ministry of NMSI that strives to educate and train new missionaries each year prior to their field placement. Each Missionary in Training will be living in a community, and preparing to leave for his/her field of service abroad after the program is completed. Teaching Nationals to Teach Nationals - training church leaders through short-term seminars on servant leadership, Biblical principles of leadership, Biblical parenting and marriage in areas of the world where this training for pastors and church leaders is not available. Summer Internships - nine-week internships in countries where NMSI has ministry. Interns are placed and work in partnering churches and participate and/or lead a variety of ministries: evangelism, youth programs, children's camps, relief, community development, etc. College credit available. Church Missions - NMSI works with US churches and missions committees to help them develop their missions strategies and mobilize their members. Helps and Mercy Ministries: AfricaHope -HIV/AIDS orphan care integrated into NMSI work of planting and maturing of churches in Kenya, Malawi and Zimbabwe. It targets orphaned and vulnerable children, ensures their education, food, medical care and Christian discipleship. We believe that these African children and future generations can be saved and their lives renewed through faith in Christ, if Christians step in during the time when children are still healthy, extremely vulnerable and most likely to respond to Christ: between ages 5 and 15. In order to meet the needs of the whole person, we also focus on agriculture, water purification, & humanitarian aid to help in times of drought or famine. Short-Term Missions for Adults - teams of adults are put together to assist local churches in their needs from construction to leading Bible Schools for children, to teaching evangelists and national missionaries. Humanitarian Aid and Disaster relief - a variety of projects that compliment ministry of a local church, respond to a particular severe need or crisis in the field, like famine, draught (medical equipment and supplies, food, school materials, etc). Community Development - all projects are initiated by local people and facilitated by churches and missionaries to meet a particular need in the community and help provide what is not available (Christian education, leadership training, vocational training, agriculture and small business development, healthcare).
