Nathan Adelson Hospice has been providing end-of-life care for the Southern Nevada community for nearly 40 years. Care is provided regardless of ethnicity, gender, age, religion, disease, insurance status, or ability to pay.

Recently, a laryngectomy (removal of the voice box) patient was denied insurance coverage for a voice prosthesis that would allow the patient to return to work. The Foundation provided funding for the prostesis to allow the patient to live a more normal life for as long as she has remaining.

This is one example of the many challenges community members face after exhausting their savings on curative treatments. We want to make the most of the days every patient has left.
