Established in 1967, NARP is the nation's leading voice for a balanced national transportation system that provides safe, affordable, environmentally benign mobility to all Americans and thereby keeps our economy moving.

Our mission is to bring about and maintain a modern, customer-focused, national passenger train network that provides a travel choice Americans want.

We seek an expanded national network of intercity passenger trains (see www.narprail.org/vision), interlaced with expanded local rail transit networks and interconnected with air and auto travel, to provide the public with seamless mobility across town, from town to town, or across the country.
