Mustard Seed Ministries Inc

The Mustard Seed Ministries is a Ministry Outreach of TFRC (Twin Falls Reformed Church) whose vision is "To be a vibrant community passionately modeling the life of Jesus Christ throughout the Magic Valley." 

The ministry was started in February of 2002 with a thrift store. In the fall of 2002 we started reaching out to the local community offering assistance with clothing, food, rental assistance and energy assistance.  We would assist a dozen or so clients a month.  We outgrew our rented space and now own our current building.  Every month our ministry outreach assists over 125 clients, dispersing $4000 actual dollars in assistance, hands out over 100 food boxes, issues clothing and household vouchers valued at $2500, and loans out basic medical equipment (wheel chairs, walkers, comodes, etc).

There is nothing like the pure joy of a child to see how we touch the lives of families in need.  So many ... clients, families, customers, and friends ... come through the Mustard Seed.  Some have broken hearts, and we lift them up, some are here to support or get help from our ministry, and some just come to shop because we offer such great stuff.  Recently our Beds For Kids Ministry helped a family with a new twin bed, a new hand made pink quilt, toys and clothes ... all for their 3 year old little girl.  This little girl was moving home from foster care.  The pure joy and excitement of this little girl reuniting with her Mon and Dad was a beautiful blessing to behold.  Health and Wellfare would not have allowed the child to move home untill Mom and Dad had a bed for this child to sleep in. We were blessed to be able to assist.  The Mustard Seed Ministries helps families, like this one, begin to put their lives back together.

The ministry is powered by a large volunteer workforce logging in over 600 hours per month.  We have a dedicated following of people that donate gently used items that are sold in our thrift store.  The heart and sole of our ministry is all of the Brothers and Sisters in Christ that donate their time and support us in prayer.
