Building Success for Youth Transitioning from Foster Care

For over 25 years, the Multi-Agency Alliance for Children (MAAC) has been providing innovative solutions to help youth become successful during and after their time in the foster care system. With eight unique programs tailored to bridge the gap by providing services that meet urgent needs, a network of nine esteemed partner agencies across Georgia, and passionate, professional staff -- MAAC puts young people first.

By donating to MAAC, your support ensures that the agency has the flexible funding that is essential to be able to reach youth and families quickly and effectively.

Navigating Transitions

For youth in foster care, their experiences in the system are often marked by periods of change that can be overwhelming. Receiving support during these times of transition can make the difference between success and failure, with ripples felt far into their adult lives.

MAAC knows how vital and vulnerable those moments are.

  • For the young person having to change schools yet again after being moved to a new foster home...
  • For the teenage girl in foster care who just got a positive pregnancy test result...
  • For the student graduating high school and struggling to find a sustainable career path...
  • For the alumnus of foster care who is concerned about their peers still in a group home, and wants to build advocacy and leadership skills...
  • For the child who was just adopted, but still living with the impact of trauma while having a newfound family and home...
  • For the youth who just came into foster care and urgently needs a safe and stable place to sleep until a long-term placement can be found...

Throughout all of these transitions and more, our programs meet young people in foster care, right where they are, when they need it most.
