Moore Buddies Mentoring

A nonprofit organization

In 1995, a group of concerned community members  saw a need in Moore County for youth to have a positive role model in their life, and so they created Moore Buddies Mentoring. By bringing caring adults into the schools to address children’s unmet needs, MBM provides the link between educators and the community. The result: teachers are free to teach and students – many in jeopardy of dropping out-- have the opportunity to focus on learning. Moore Buddies Mentoring continues to do outreach, recruit, and train volunteers to be positive influences in a young person’s life. Our core programs include In-School Mentoring, Community Mentoring, and My PATH.

The mission of Moore Buddies Mentoring is to champion successful youth through mentoring and empowering families. Today we mentor over 100 children in the Moore County area. We believe that every child deserves succeed and thrive at life. Our mentors surround these children with love, encouragement, and support to help them to succeed in school and in life.
