McKay-Dee Hospital Foundation

A nonprofit organization

18 donors

For over 45 years, McKay-Dee Foundation has worked to connect generous donors to the various healthcare needs of our patients at McKay-Dee Hospital and in the community. Your dollars are appreciated and support the four areas of need at McKay-Dee Hospital:

  • Essential Hospital Equipment
  • Health Related Community Programs
  • Clinical Staff Education
  • Special projects like our Annie Taylor Dee Guest Home & Community Health Information Center.

Hospital Equipment

Through your donations, the Foundation is able to provide support to many of our departments that serve you and your family.  Your donations have helped purchase equipment like the Hyperbaric Chamber technology essential for healing stubborn wounds that will not respond to conventional treatments, to the cooling cap and blanket technology that can help tiny infants recover from brain trauma mitigating developmental delays.  The needs are many in the area of Hospital Equipment.

Community Programs

The Brown Family recently benefited by one of our Community Programs, Angel Watch.  The Browns discovered early that their little twins were conjoined, shared a heart, and their little body was not able to sustain life. The Browns were not sure where to turn.  Gratefully, the Angel Watch program stepped in and provided them with all the resources needed to help them turn this heart breaking situation into one of compassionate celebration.  They even received burial assistance.  The Brown's will forever appreciate the caregivers at McKay-Dee Hospital and the donors of the Angel Watch program.

McKay-Dee Foundation provides funding for over 20 health-related community programs that address suicide prevention, cancer support, young teen mother outreach, pediatric obesity and important health screenings and services to the underinsured women and children of our community. We are grateful to be able to support these programs that positively impact lives in this community daily.

Special Projects

Our Community Health Information Center (CHIC) has a wealth of information available to the entire community, whether a patient at McKay-Dee or not.  In addition to finding out more in depth information out about your diagnosis, you can become CPR certified or learn first aid.  What about car seats?  Did you think that the car seat you buckled very carefully in your backseat was secure? CHIC center can help you be sure!  They will be doing over 3,000 car seat checks this year.  Elon Jensen, CHIC Center Director, related the following story.  “Recently, a wonderful dad had a car seat check from our technicians.  His wife was in a terrible accident after, but because the baby's seat was installed properly, his daughter was safe and sound. Thankfully, his wife was alright as well.  After the crash, he came back to our Hospital to have our technicians install his daughter’s new seat!  We are grateful to donors who help make this possible.”

 Clinical Education

As a learning organization, we strive to stay abreast of healthcare knowledge, research and clinical best practices.  The Foundation is pleased to support our commitment to continuous improvement.

Thank you for your support of these worthwhile causes.  Your gifts truly make a difference!
