Mission

The mission of the Lower Eastside Service Center, Inc. is to offer high quality substance abuse treatment and prevention, mental health, primary care and HIV/AIDS services to a culturally diverse patient population residing in Manhattan's Lower East Side and the greater New York area. Based on funding availability, the Lower Eastside Service Center, Inc. will expand social services to meet the special needs of consumers and families.

Programs

MEDICALLY SUPERVISED OUTPATIENT CLINIC METHADONE TO ABSTINENCE Su Casa Methadone-To-Abstinence Residence provides a twelve to eighteen month therapeutic community experience for persons who are methadone maintained or addicted to narcotics. The initial treatment phase incorporates a gradual detox from methadone. Traditional therapeutic communities require methadone maintained persons to detoxify before becoming eligible for admission. METHADONE RESIDENCE Short Stay Methadone Residence provides treatment for methadone maintained clients who are not succeeding in outpatient treatment During a 6-month inpatient treatment experience, clients are maintained on methadone and receive a comprehensive array of services: Primary Medical Care HIV/AIDS Education, Testing and Medical Care Comprehensive Vocational Rehabilitation Services and GED Classes Individual and Group Counseling Family and Marital Counseling METHADONE TREATMENT Rehabilitative treatment of clients maintained on methadone includes the following comprehensive range of integrated services on-site. psychiatric and primary medical care, HIV services, vocational rehabilitation department, separate chnic for working clients, time-limited detox/rehab protocol, LAAM. Traditional Methadone Mamtenance Treatment Program Vocational Rehabilitation - LESC has re-examined and overhauled the way methadone treatment is provided.
