Light it UP! Fund

When the beautiful park and athletic facilities were concepted in the Potomac Yard area, they included lighting on the athletic courts - both tennis and basketball. However, during the course of construction and development, the lights for the basketball courts were left out - preventing Alexandria citizens from using these brand new courts to their fullest capacity.

Now, Light it UP! has been formed to raise money to finish the job!

The lights have already been approved by the city and the total budget for installing them is $150,000. However, the city has agreed to match any funds raised for this effort up to $75,000!

All we need from our amazing friends, neighbors and fellow hoops fanatics is to raise $75,000 in the course of one year. Can we do it? We believe we can!
