Legal Aid Foundation of the Tallahassee Bar Association - Endowment Fund

The Legal Aid Foundation provides civil legal representation and assistance in Leon County to people in need through volunteers and supporters. Established 46 years ago by the Tallahassee Bar, we help lawyers with a passion for equal justice to serve our community. Through their service, the Legal Aid Foundation has helped citizens in desperate situations find legal solutions, allowing them to keep homes, stabilize families, and resolve other overwhelming problems. Current clients receive help from the LAF through two programs: 1)The Pro Se Program provides assistance to individuals representing themselves in a family law case; 2) In the Pro Bono Program, lawyers represent clients on a volunteer basis in civil matters. In 2013, volunteer lawyers donated 3560 hours and closed 311 cases, providing over $800,000 in free legal services to citizens and families in Leon County.
