Did you know that last year KUED donated 14,000 books to children in low-income communities across the state of Utah through our Ready to Learn initiative?

 

Books in the home are strongly linked to academic achievement. A recent study found that home library size has a very substantial effect on educational attainment.  KUED’s goal is to bring books into the homes of children most in need.

 

Imagine how rewarding it was when we handed out books at one event and a child looked up in surprise and asked, “Do I really get to keep this?”  It was the first book he owned.

 

Every dollar you contribute to KUED during Love Utah, Give Utah buys a book for a Utah child.  You can help our youngest viewers become readers and contribute to their success in school.
