There's some special magic that happens when friends sit next to the Ohio River and talk, especially if those two people are Will Oldham (aka Bonnie "Prince" Billy) and Charles Booker. We are grateful to these two Kentuckians for their commitment to Kentucky Waterways Alliance's mission, and for letting us listen in on their conversation about the Commonwealth's most important natural resource, water. In this video, Charles and Will discuss justice, creativity, and more. Also, a surprise guest makes an unexpected appearance.

Kentucky Waterways Alliance believes all people have a right to clean water.

Our mission at Kentucky Waterways Alliance is to protect, restore, and celebrate Kentucky's 90,000 miles of lakes, rivers, and streams and their watersheds. All life depends on clean water, including human life. Healthy water means a healthy planet for humans and wildlife. We are all in this together.

For thirty-one years, thanks to the support of our members and donors, Kentucky Waterways Alliance has worked across the state to protect our water, our most valuable resource.  We invite you to continue to support our work so we can continue protecting and restoring Kentucky's rivers and streams for the next now and for the next generation.

We want our children's children to be free to wade in creeks, swim in rivers, fish in lakes, experience the joy of discovering a crawdad, and even drink from a faucet, unburdened by worry that their water might not be safe.

Please make a donation to KWA, a statewide voice for clean water, and the people, communities, and wildlife who depend on it.

KWA is a member-driven organization. We work together with partners, including state and federal agencies and local watershed groups, to bring about change through advocacy, restoration projects, education, and volunteer clean-ups.  To learn more about our work, please click on the "Our Impact" link above or read our 2023 Impact Report.

Your donation supports our work including:
