Kawabe Memorial House Summerfest! 2020 Aug 30th, 2020 Sunday from 11:00am - 4:00pm

Kawabe Memorial House's "The summer festival" was launched in 2012, each year, we have over 400 visitors enjoyed our hand made family-style events.

Our Chinese, Korean, Japanese residents volunteer to cook and serve their authentic foods, Seattle First Hill Lions Club provides Yakisoba, Our Board members cook roasted corn and hotdogs, at the food booth, art, and crafts, Sumi Japanese Calligraphy, Japanese 'Go" game, Nihonbuyo Japanese traditional dance, residents Line dance, Cherry blossom singers, Karate, Judo performance and more! 

This year, the event goal is to raise enough funding to $10,000 for Meiji Kai Senior Lunch Program and acquire a 65 inch TV and PC for the cafeteria for Karaoke! for residents 

Kawabe Memorial House is a non-profit organization founded in 1969 and is located at 221 18th Ave S. in  Seattle. Kawabe House provides Independent Living for a wide variety of diverse and multicultural seniors age over 62 years, approximately 180 residents,

live in a ten-story building, in 154 view apartments. The residents on the west side of the building have views of Seattle and Elliott Bay.
