Jeremys Thoughtful Thermal Foundation

In May of 2015, our 9 year old son was disagnosed with ALL Leukemia.  It was a 10 month long journey filled with chemo, hospital stays, doctor visits, loosing hair twice, and homeschooling.  After 10 months, he was declared cancer free and he went back to mainstream school!  He still has two years of treatments left, but he feels good and acts like any other 11 year old. 

So many friends and family helped us our in a variety of ways during our journey.  In August of 2016, Jeremy's Thoughtful Thermal Foundation was begun as our way to give back to others.  Our organization purchases thermal lunch boxes and stuffs them full of snacks, small toys, and a small stuffed animal.  We then deliver them to children at the hospital or at the medical clinic.  Hospital stays can be days and weeks long.  Clinic visits can be 8 hours.  These bags help give the children a distraction and the smiles we receive back in thanks are priceless!

Our original Thoughtful Thermals are a huge hit with the patients.  We are also starting two new types of bags to hand out.  One is our art bag filled with arts and craft supplies.  The second is our cuddly bag with a blanket and a larger stuffed animal.  Our son found that stuffed animals were a huge comfort for him during his treatments.

There are many ways you can support our organization.  Cash donations in any amount will help us purchase the bags and items to go into the bags.  Donations of items that we can auction off or raffle off are helpful.  You can also donate goods in kind that we can put into our bags.  Things we are currently in need of are...

blankets, decks of card, small dry erase boards, family friendly DVDs, books, Playdoh, clay, colored pencils, crayons, pencil sharpeners. stress balls, small stuffed animals like beanie babies or beanie boos, small Lego sets,embroidery floss, small craft kits, small science kits, yo-yos, and any other items you think kids would enjoy.
