OUR SERVICE AREA

Serving 17 counties in Georgia and one county in Alabama, our service area covers 6,200 square miles and a population of 550,000 of which approximately 115,000 people are considered food insecure*.

*What is “Food Insecurity?”

Food insecurity is defined as not having reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food. Feeding the Valley is a member of the Georgia Food Bank Association, and also a member of Feeding America, a nationwide network of food banks and our nation’s leading hunger-relief organization. We are also a community partner of United Way of the Chattahoochee Valley in Columbus, Ga.

Who We Serve:

West Georgia: Calhoun, Chattahoochee, Clay, Dougherty, Harris, Lee, Marion, Meriwether, Muscogee, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Stewart, Talbot, Terrell, Troup and Webster

Alabama: Russell

Clay, Dougherty, and Randolph have ranked the top 3 food-insecure counties in the state of GA.
