ILC’s 2024 Virtual Run/Walk Fundraiser seeks to raise $25,000 towards Lyme prevention, marketing, and outreach for all Hoosiers. Funds will be used for a much needed new website coming Fall 2024, Lyme prevention booth at the 2025 Indiana Flower & Patio Show, expanding marketing/outreach, and free Lyme prevention materials. Help us stop Lyme!

Our History: The founders of Indiana Lyme Connect, ILC, had experienced the problems of delayed diagnosis and complexities of treatment firsthand as their own families had suffered greatly. Knowing that their experiences were not unique, they joined forces and established ILC in 2014. Since 2016, ILC has been an all-volunteer, tax-exempt 501(c)3 nonprofit.

Our Mission: We seek to support individuals with Lyme disease and related tick-borne infections (that is, Lyme Borreliosis Complex), educate the greater Indiana community about this often devastating illness, and encourage healthcare professionals to combat this public-health crisis.

Our Vision: ILC’s vision is to support those with Lyme disease as well as dramatically decrease the number of Lyme disease and other tick-borne illness cases in Indiana as Hoosiers become more informed and practice good prevention strategies and healthcare professionals employ more comprehensive diagnostic techniques and treatment.

Our Work: In service of its overarching mission to raise awareness around and increase knowledge about Lyme disease, Indiana Lyme Connect (ILC) routinely sponsors events and disseminates information aimed at:

• Promoting Lyme awareness and tick prevention to all Hoosiers
• Educating Hoosiers about doable effective tick prevention strategies for themselves, their pets, and their property
• Supporting Lyme patients, their families and caregivers, and interested citizens through resources and community
• Connecting Indiana healthcare professionals to accredited medical Lyme diagnostic and treatment educational opportunities 
• Influencing government policy and resolutions that will advance awareness and prevention of Lyme disease and other tick-borne illness
