Idaho Falls Fraternal Order of Police Foundation Inc

     The Idaho Falls Fraternal Order of Police Foundation is a non-profit organization founded to support the Police Officers proudly serving the City of Idaho Falls.

     The Officers of the Idaho Falls Police Department have dedicated their lives to the service of our community and bravely risk their lives every day in the pursuit there of.  In addition to the daily service of patrolling our streets and helping to create a community safe from crime and violence, we also strive to support higher education for our local youth and work to maintain the welfare of our Police Officers.

     Every year we make sizable donations to education in the form of scholarships.  We know that our youth are important and that the investment in them is one of the best ways we can ensure the lifestyle we enjoy in our community.

     We also provide support to our local Police Officers and their families for those who have been injured or killed in the line of duty.  Prior to founding our organization, the resources available to these Officers and their families were not sufficient to support them when these unfortunate events occur.  We provide monetary support for lost wages and earning ability, while also providing the resources to address the mental and emotional strain put on them and their families.  We believe it is important to take care of those who make these great sacrifices on behalf of all of us in our community.

     We also provide funding to the Idaho Falls Peace Officer Memorial which is held on National Peace Officer Memorial Day in May at the Bonneville County Courthouse.  This event honors the 60 Idaho Peace Officers who came before us and paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

     To help fund our goals we have organized an annual 5-0 5K fun run during Police Week in May.  This is a great event to bring our Officers and members of the community together to raise money for our Scholarship Fund.  We also operate a local firework stand during the 4th of July holiday to raise money for our cause.  These activities have been great opportunities for us to further interact with the community and have helped us come closer to reaching our goals. However, we are still dependent on donations from the community to fully meet our goals.

We are happy to acknowledge your donation on our website and at our numerous events, unless you prefer otherwise.  The Idaho Falls Fraternal Order of Police Foundation consists of current and former members of the Idaho Falls Police Department who all serve in a volunteer capacity.  I can assure you that 100% of the proceeds go directly to fund the mission of the Foundation and not to any Executive salaries.
