The Institute for the Advancement of Multicultural & Minority Medicine (IAMMM) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that is focused on the elimination of health disparities among under-represented and underserved multicultural communities.

We believe that the wide gaps in minority health can be eliminated through collaboration with corporate entities, universities and colleges, proponents in elected office, consumer advocacy organizations, and the medical and public health community.

IAMMM is one of the leading constituency organizations for research, education, and advocacy for the elimination of disparities in health and healthcare among underrepresented and underserved multi-cultural communities.

IAMMM works with partners and alliances to eliminate disparities in health and healthcare among underrepresented and underserved multi-cultural communities through research, education, and advocacy.

IAMMM’s goals and objectives are to:

- Raise Awareness about Racial/Ethnic Health Care Disparities Among Consumers and Health Care Providers

- Promote Wellness and Prevention Solutions

- Improve Health Outcomes Among Minorities and the Under Served

- Improve the Quality and Availability of Health Care to Under Served Communities

- Collaborate with National Health and Consumer Organizations

- Improve Representation of Minorities in Medicine

- Increase Minority Participation in Research and Clinical Trials

- Develop, Implement, and Support Physician Professional Education and Training Programs

- Develop and Support Community-Based Educational Programs to Address Health Disparities

- Support Cultural Competency Training for Physicians and Medical Students
