Hingham High School Rowing Association

Beginning in 2006 with a handful of dedicated rowers, parents, and coaches, the Hingham High School Rowing Association has grown to become one of the most popular and successful programs for Hingham High School athletes among all activities and sports at the school.

We measure success in the lives affected by the opportunity to compete at a very high level, under direction of exceptional coaches. Student athletes who participate in the rowing program learn the benefits of dedication and teamwork, excel in the classroom, and have an inspiring record of acceptance into leading universities.

We are fortunate to have many resources: a supportive school system, skilled coaches, and students eager to prove themselves against the best teams from public and private schools across New England.

Our goals on the water are to teach teamwork, discipline, and strive to win. In order to give our young athletes that opportunity we need equipment capable of bringing out the best in our crews. While the bulk of income for the program comes from the families of rowers, HHSRA conducts fundraising events throughout the year to fund equipment purchases, offer scholarships as needed, and defray some of the costs of the activity.

Support from local businesses, parents, families, and friends of our rowers are vital to maintaining the mission and vision of the program. With your support, the HHSRA will continue to provide opportunity, build character, and support the growth of more than 100+ student athletes in Hingham each year.

To develop and promote the sport of rowing while remaining aligned with the educational philosophy of Hingham High School. Our goal is to create a positive culture for both student athletes and parents to enjoy the sport of rowing.
