House of Rebirth

House of Rebirth History  

Founded in 2019 by X Olamina (they/them) & Robyn Crowe (she/her); House of Rebirth began with a vision of safety, access, and healing for the specific needs of Black Trans Women in Dallas TX.

In the aftermath of the murders of Muhlaysia Booker and Merci Mack in Oak Cliff and in the midst of an epidemic of violence facing Black trans women in Texas; BIPOC TGNC communities and our allies gathered to create solutions.

House of Rebirth was born.

 For 5 years we have provided culturally competent community, housing, case management, HIV prevention, and life-saving resources to hundreds of Black transgender women, responding to an acute resource crisis.

 Today our communities are again challenged to stand up in the face of attack. The passage of SB 14 a record number of anti-trans bills in the Texas legislature and around the country are compounded by bills aiming to restrict how educators can discuss systemic racism, and social issues related to race and sex in schools.

 We must work together to fight back against the passage of these laws and create safe spaces to support our communities in the interim.

Join us now as we expand our vision through Rebirth Center to serve all Transgender, Gender Diverse youth and adults of Color in Texas!

What is Rebirth Center?

Rebirth Center is a life-giving resource space for intersectional communities and movement building. 

Rebirth Center builds on insights and advocacy at House of Rebirth to build a vision of access, hope, and empowerment for all BIPOC Transgender and GNC youth and adults in the South. We are creating space for BIPOC TGNC to do more than survive but THRIVE!
