Fresh Food Now for Former Refugees!
$20 Raised
Global Growers Network partners with people from diverse cultures to grow fresh food for their families and for local marketplaces. Together, we build and sustain networks of land, resources, markets, and people in order to create a more equitable food system that is driven by cultural diversity, inclusive economies, and regenerative agriculture practices.
Since 2010, GGN has built a network of over 300 growers, a majority of whom came to the metro Atlanta area as refugees with agricultural expertise from their home countries. Growers have access to GGN's land network of 9 farm and garden sites with shared co-farming infrastructure for growing fresh, culturally familiar foods. GGN offers additional support through a robust ecosystem of agricultural resources, including workshops, technical assistance, inputs for sustainable production, a sales enterprise, and outreach programs that impact socially disadvantaged farmers throughout metro Atlanta.
Your contribution enables Global Growers Network to uplift the agricultural expertise and food heritages of international growers as together we work toward a more equitable food system in Atlanta.
