In the state of Illinois, families are faced with an unsure future for their child with autism when he or she turns 22 - 'Aged out' and nowhere to go!  Quality programs for adults with autism are few and far between.  The majority of adults with autism do not have access to services and face a life of isolation.  Giant Steps, in partnership with Rich Harvest Farms, will provide and integrated community-based model offering unqiue oppurtunities to engage adults with autsm throughout their lifetime, such as Educational Opprtunites, unique work, social, receational, and living oppurtunities

Phase 1

• Canopy Campus Center

       -To be built on Rich Harvest Farms Property

       -27,000 sq. ft. building

• Home to Canopy Adult Day Program

       -Capcity to serve over 100 participants per day

• Community Integration

          -Open Environment allow for integration with local community

Phase 2

• Residential Options:

       -Rich Harvest Farms Location - Housing options on propterty

• Sugar Grove Community Location

       -Houses, apartments, and/or townhomes

       -Allows particpants to access the program without living on property

       -Increases number of participants our Canopy porgram will be able to serve
