WHERE'S HOME? WHERE THE HARVEST IS!

Throughout the coming year, Georgia Organics will invest in farmer prosperity for growers across the state by providing impact capital directly to local farmers, emergency support, training, and opportunities for shared learning and camaraderie for the people tending to our soil. We will foster a pipeline of new Georgia farmers for land stewardship and succession, and advocate for and with the farmers who nourish the soil we call home. 

THIS IS ONLY POSSIBLE WITH YOUR SUPPORT. 

Local growers are awash with challenges, from exponential climate change and unpredictable weather events like Hurricane Helene, rising production and food costs, competition with farm conglomerates, supply chain issues, land and resource inequities, and barriers to food access in areas throughout the state. While these challenges impact us all. Your support is vital to helping farmers overcome these challenges and foster the fair, equitable, and healthy conditions they need to thrive. 

Your support will help us to: 

• Provide impact capital directly to farmers through a host of Farmer Services programs
• Sustain our ongoing Farmer Field Days, webinars, organic technical assistance and cost-share, Kaiser Bridge Health Care and cooperative purchases.
• Develop a lifeline of support for farmers facing emergencies like Hurricane Helene through The Farmer Fund
• Ramp up our local and national advocacy in support of soil-focused farming practices so that our farmers are set up for success.

But that’s not all. Georgia Organics also focuses on Community Collaborations that strengthen the larger farmer-centered food system. Your donation will help us to:

• Continue our Family Farm Share program and increase affordable access to local, organic food while expanding small scale farmers' direct customer base in early care centers.
• Grow our Farmer Champion network—including pop-ups, bakeries, butcheries, cafes, restaurants, early care centers, and colleges and universities—sourcing from local and organic farms.
• Connect more than 1,000,000 children throughout Georgia with local, healthy food in their cafeterias and classrooms through October Farm to School Month and Farm to School Innovation Mini Grant

And if you haven’t heard, on February 4-6, 2025, we will host the first-ever regional SOWTH Conference! Over the next few months, we are working with partners throughout the South to prepare for this three-day gathering of over 1,000 farmers and leaders committed to sowing a strong sustainable agricultural movement across the South. 

To fuel the ambitious year ahead, we’re asking for your support.
