Generation Rescue Inc

Our organization was founded in 2005 by JB and Lisa Handley -- parents of an autistic child, who were looking for resources. The information they learned from other parents about how to treat the underlying symptoms of autism, in order to improve a child's quality of life, became the inspiration for Generation Rescue. Autism advocate and Mother Warrior, Jenny McCarthy, has actively been involved in the organization since 2008.

 

We provide hope, treatment options, and respond to the immediate needs of families in the following ways:

RESCUE ANGELS – our parent mentors are guiding other families affected by autism in more than 38 countries around the world. Interaction occurs daily and helps provide support and hope.

 

RESCUE FAMILY GRANTS provide autism treatment to families in financial need for medical assistance. 100% of all grantees have shown improvement with our 90-day program.

 

1-877-98AUTISM HOTLINE – our trained staff answer phone calls from families needing immediate assistance. Questions range from finding a psychologist for an autism evaluation, how to apply for Medicaid, where to find a behavioral therapist in their community to where to find a doctor who treats the underlying symptoms of autism.

 

WEBSITE - is accessed worldwide by those seeking our information tools designed to provide guidance on autism, support for those in need, education on treatment options and referrals for service providers approved by Generation Rescue.  In addition, our blog has articles featured by leading autism physicians such as Dr. Jerry Kartzinel to nutritionists to current news updates on autism.

THE AUTISM EDUCATION SUMMIT is the largest U.S. autism conference and provides free access to families to learn about the latest research and therapies from leading scientists and physicians. Opportunities are provided for continuing education for medical professionals, first responders, legal advocates and teachers.
